Analyst, Quantitative Python Developer

About the position SpiderRock Advisors is seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Python Developer to join our dynamic, data-driven team at the intersection of finance and technology. In this role, you will be responsible for building and optimizing solutions for data manipulation, quantitative calculations, and financial analysis. If you have a passion for programming, a solid foundation in statistics, and a keen interest in financial markets, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities • Develop and implement Python-based solutions for quantitative analysis and data manipulation. , • Perform complex quantitative calculations and ensure high-performance, accurate results. , • Work with MySQL/SQL databases to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets. , • Collaborate with other teams to design and optimize algorithms for financial modeling. , • Apply statistical methods and models to real-world financial data to drive key business insights. , • Optimize and refine algorithms for time-series data analysis, statistical modeling, and financial computations. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with significant focus on programming (Graduate degree preferred). , • At least 3 years of programming experience in Python. , • Strong knowledge of statistics and data manipulation for quantitative analysis. , • Hands-on experience with MySQL/SQL databases for querying and managing large data sets. Nice-to-haves • Familiarity with financial instruments (stocks, bonds, derivatives, etc.) and financial data analysis. , • In-depth knowledge of options and option pricing formulas (e.g., Black-Scholes). , • Experience with optimization algorithms (e.g., linear programming, genetic algorithms). , • Familiarity with analyzing and processing time-series data.
