About the position We are seeking an experienced Applications Architect 3 to design, develop, and implement enterprise-grade, cloud-native applications . This role requires deep technical expertise, strong architectural vision, and the ability to lead complex application initiatives from concept through delivery. The ideal candidate will architect scalable, secure, and high-performance systems while collaborating closely with business stakeholders and technical teams. Level Description 8+ years of professional experience Independently plans and executes complex work efforts Applies seasoned judgment and creativity to solve challenging problems May lead and direct the work of other technical staff Responsibilities • Lead the architecture and design of cloud-native and enterprise applications • Drive application development while enforcing best practices for scalability, reliability, and maintainability • Translate business requirements into robust, well-structured technical solutions • Oversee and guide development teams throughout the application lifecycle • Ensure alignment with architectural standards, security requirements, and performance goals Requirements • Strong experience with Java EE , Spring Boot , and microservices frameworks • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Google Cloud) • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) • Proficiency in API design and integration , including REST and GraphQL • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines , DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) • Knowledge of cloud-native security best practices • Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB) • Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) • Exposure to serverless computing and cloud-native services • Proven experience applying Domain-Driven Design (DDD) to model complex business domains Nice-to-haves • Experience with observability and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) • Knowledge of performance tuning and high-availability architectures • Understanding of cloud cost optimization strategies • Prior experience in healthcare or regulated industries • Strong understanding of IT processes, SDLC, enterprise architecture, and information management principles • Consulting and facilitation skills with a customer-focused communication style • Proactive leadership approach with strong attention to detail • Cloud architecture certifications such as: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Azure Solutions Architect Expert Google Professional Cloud Architect • Experience supporting state-level or eligibility-based systems Apply tot his job
