Business Analyst

The Business Analyst plays a key role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions, responsible for analyzing business processes, gathering and documenting requirements, and supporting the development of solutions that align with organizational goals and industry standards. Responsibilities Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives, workflows, and user needs Gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements Translate business requirements into clear system specifications for developers and project teams Support the design and implementation of business information systems, including those for inventory, finance, human resources, customer service, and operational reporting Conduct gap analyses and propose process improvements to increase efficiency and system effectiveness Create use cases, process maps, and workflow diagrams to support solution design Facilitate meetings, user interviews, and workshops to elicit requirements and validate solutions Participate in testing activities, including test planning, test case development, and user acceptance testing Coordinate with development teams to ensure deliverables meet documented requirements Support change management, training, and adoption of new or updated systems Skills Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience or an Associates degree and 4 years of experience or a High School diploma and 6 years of experience Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency (Green Card holders) is required 1 to 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio) Familiarity with data flow documentation Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to facilitate meetings, present findings, and build consensus Experience working in an Agile or hybrid Agile/Waterfall environment Working knowledge of SQL or data querying tools Exposure to tools such as, Azure DevOps or Jira Knowledge of system integration, reporting tools, or basic data architecture concepts Benefits Employees may be eligible for overtime Shift differential Discretionary bonus Company Overview Peraton Fearlessly solving the toughest national security challenges.
