JOB OVERVIEW: Work from home - Night Shift Cardiovascular Services of America (CVAUSA) is the largest private and independent cardiology network in the United States. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (included but not limited to): Candidates wanting to use expertise in technology to improve the care and diagnosis of patients requiring cardiac monitoring. Candidates that have excellent analytical skills and experience with electrocardiograms/EKGs and can provide clear reporting to the cardiology care team. The technician is responsible for the real-time monitoring and evaluation of cardiac rhythms rhythm EKG analysis of transmitted data. The technician will further ability to: • Observe and interpret heart monitors – including irregular heartbeats, arrhythmias, and cardiac arrest. • Communicating abnormal findings to the cardiology care team. • Recording and editing monitor logs • Prepares a full disclosure report for entry into the EMR once the physician evaluates and approves. • Effectively recognize ECG abnormalities and clearly reports information to physicians as required according to notification protocol. • Produce report delivered to the physician and perform report format modifications and additions as requested by physician. • Tracks monitor type, charges, ordering physician, date monitor provided and by whom, return date and when report sent to physician. • Creates clear, accurate documentation on patient status and activity during the shift. • Sorts and files all papers received by fax or electronically. • Basic monitor troubleshooting with patients – i.e., charging devices or reapplying devices. • Ability to follow clinical protocols. • Orient new staff. • Participate in continued team education through shared learnings. • Contribute to a high-quality service both to physicians and patients. • Stays current and complies with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies that impact the employee's area of responsibility. JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS • High School diploma or GED • 1 year experience in a healthcare role or certification in a healthcare role • Strong technical and computer skills • Licensed Paramedic • Licensed LPN or RN • Degree in exercise physiology or similar • Enrolled in college for nursing or healthcare • Strong technical and computer skills • Great communication and multi-tasking skills REQUIREMENTS • Certified CRAT/CCT • Experience with MCT monitoring Experience with a device monitoring company is preferred SCHEDULE Shifts Available, weekend and holiday shifts are required.
