Develop and implement a comprehensive climate risk strategy for Freddie Mac, taking into account the potential impacts of climate change on the financial industry. Lead and manage a team of quantitative analysts to conduct risk assessments and develop models to measure and mitigate climate-related risks. Utilize advanced statistical and data analysis techniques to identify and quantify potential climate risks to Freddie Mac's operations and investments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including risk management, finance, and sustainability, to integrate climate risk considerations into business strategies and decision-making processes. Communicate complex quantitative analyses and risk assessments to senior management and other stakeholders, providing actionable insights and recommendations. Stay informed about the latest developments and research in climate science and its potential impacts on the financial industry, and apply this knowledge to inform risk management strategies. Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including government agencies, industry groups, and research organizations, to stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in climate risk management. Play a key role in educating and training internal teams on climate risk management, ensuring that all employees are aware of the potential risks and their responsibilities in mitigating them. Monitor and report on the progress and effectiveness of climate risk management initiatives, and make recommendations for improvements and enhancements as needed.
