Compliance Analyst/ Malta

Our Local Programs and Regulatory Compliance team is responsible for ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations in the countries where we operate. About the role: The Compliance Analyst will report to the country’s Compliance Officer and support Crypto.com’s regulated businesses in their regulatory compliance obligations. You will assist with the management of regulatory examinations and compliance independent reviews/external audits, regulatory reporting, and program documentation. You will also support the Compliance Officer to ensure that robust policies and controls are in place across Crypto.com’s regulated businesses and that they remain in line with regulatory change. Job Responsibilities: • Conducting compliance monitoring activities and enhancing the Compliance Monitoring Program; • Drafting reports that present monitoring results, findings, and actions; • Preparing and implementing robust procedures and processes applicable to the monitoring function; • Developing policy documents within a range of legislative and administrative frameworks; • Ensuring compliance with the Company’s policies and procedures; • Reviewing existing policies and procedures and aligning with the Company’s priorities; • Assisting in the implementation of supporting infrastructure and processes to ensure effective policy implementation; • Collecting the relevant information for internal and external regulatory audits; • Identifying and circulating relevant publications and communications to all appropriate staff; • Assisting in the compiling of various compliance reports in relation to compliance monitoring activities; • Maintaining the database of regulatory publications and providing summary information to the relevant team; • Assisting with the preparation and submission of regulatory returns for which the Compliance team is responsible; • Adhering to regulatory requirements and ensuring documentation integrity; • Performing general administrative duties and any other duties and responsibilities as required. Job Requirements: • Minimum of at least two years experience in a legal or compliance role within a regulated financial institution, experience in virtual financial assets (cryptocurrency) will be considered an asset; • Hands-on experience in compliance monitoring and compliance testing; • Deep understanding of, and ability to apply environmental context, data, and legislation; • A thorough understanding of Compliance and AML/CFT regulations within the financial services/ fintech industry; • General compliance experience in multiple fields including AML, Sanctions, KYC, and Onboarding; • Knowledge of digital assets and fintech products is preferred; • Must be able to perform independently and with minimal supervision; • Advanced and persuasive written and verbal communication skills; • Comprehensive research, interpretation, and critical analysis skills; • Strong organizational skills – must be multi-tasked-oriented and able to balance priorities and deadlines. #hybrid Life @ Crypto.com Empowered to think big.
