Coorespondence Billing Specialist- remote
About the position Responsibilities • Review correspondence requests to send invoices, transfer, make adjustments, and research claim updates in the billing system. • Compose email communications to internal and external customers in a clear and professional manner, providing necessary updates and information for follow-up. • Adapt to changing duties, priorities, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). • Run status checks on large spreadsheet invoice/claim correction files to verify updates and note missing information for customer communication. • Follow approved SOPs to update and provide necessary information to resolve correspondence requests. Requirements • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent. • 2+ years of directly applicable experience required (such as Correspondence, Patient Billing Customer Service, or Healthcare Billing). • Labcorp current Healthcare Billing Specialist experience strongly preferred. • Prefer previous medical billing or accounts receivables experience. Nice-to-haves • Ability to work and learn in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent organizational and communication skills. • Strong correspondence skills. • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel. • Knowledge of Labcorp Healthcare Billing systems and processes.
