American Farm Bureau Insurance Services, Inc. is looking for a Crop Insurance Claims Adjuster to work remotely in southern Minnesota. The role involves performing loss adjustments, quality control activities, and maintaining customer relationships throughout the claims process. Responsibilities Communicating directly and following up with insureds to perform loss adjustments, pre-acceptance or quality control inspections to gather facts involved with the settlement of reported claims or inspections Fostering and maintaining positive customer relationships by providing prompt and accurate support throughout the claims process Staying abreast of crop insurance industry procedures relating to proper adjustment of claims Analyzing and making recommendations for enhancements for company software products to assure compliance with company and RMA procedures Skills A Bachelor's degree and/or 1+ years of claims adjusting experience The ability to obtain and/or maintain the required adjuster certifications and licenses A valid driver's license The Ability to read, analyze, and interpret policy information and applicable procedures Computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft word and excel Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Effective problem-solving, critical thinking, analytical, organizational, multitasking, and time management skills Knowledge of Crop Hail and Multi-Peril Insurance Policies forms, endorsements, and approved claims adjusting procedures Crop insurance experience with emphasis in the claims area Knowledge of farming practices and crops typical to the territory Benefits Medical Dental Vision Life Disability insurance Company funded cash balance pension 401(k) retirement plan Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts Paid holidays Vacation Sick time Employee Assistance Program Other benefits Company Overview American Farm Bureau Insurance Services, Inc.
