Energy Systems Analyst I

Job Description: • The Energy Systems Analyst is responsible for assessing building mechanical and electrical systems while performing technical on site surveys and in office analysis on assigned projects. • Assists in the production of projects that are on-time, within-budget and meet the requirements of industry standards & codes and client specifications. • Conducts site surveys to determine existing facility conditions either independently or with senior level staff/project manager. • Assists in identifying and preparing energy efficient and deferred maintenance scope. • Assists in the performing of mechanical system calculations including load calculations, ventilation schedules, etc. • Interacts in meetings with internal company members as related to the project deliverables. • Reviews and analyzes the designs and prepared drawings for mechanical systems for projects including duct and pipe sizing with assistance from senior level staff. • Assists the development team in the coordination with other discipline including energy modeling, financial modeling, lighting, design, etc. • Attends in-house and external training sessions to obtain knowledge in necessary technical areas related to building systems. • Participates in industry organizations and attends events, meetings, and activities. Requirements: • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from a four year ABET accredited university. • 1-3 years of experience • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills and aptitude. • Required experience in Excel and Word. • Ability to communicate effectively with facility managers and engineers. • Ability to work independently to meet deadlines while on survey. • Ability to manage time effectively to meet project deadlines. • Ability to use technology and apps for collecting data while on survey. • Passion for quality and client satisfaction • Effective verbal and written communication skills. • Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment. • Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors. • Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
