Engineering Director

Remote, USA Full-time
Nomagic is launching in North America to bring AI-powered robotic solutions to warehouses and fulfilment centres. We’re looking for an Engineering Director who thrives in a startup environment. Someone who’s just as comfortable building processes and managing cross-functional teams as they are rolling up their sleeves on the warehouse floor. This role combines customer delivery, leadership, operational execution, and technical expertise in robotics and automation. You’ll bridge our EU product, engineering, and customer service teams with our U.S. customers, own project management and support, and develop the manufacturing and supply chain partnerships we need to scale. If you want to build something from the ground up and directly shape how we deliver robotics to the U.S. market, this is your chance. Offer Essentials: Work with robots every day! Shape how Nomagic launches and scales in the U.S. Competitive salary, equity and benefits. A chance to define processes, lead teams, and still stay close to the tech.. Be part of a company transforming logistics with cutting-edge robotics and AI. Remote work possible Here is why we love this job ourselves, and hope you will enjoy it too: We build robots powered by AI We already have them in production We are still pretty small, so everyone has a direct impact on the product and how we work We have a very experienced engineering & management team from Google, early unicorns (Climate Corp...) & top robotics and tech companies (ABB, Softbank Robotics, Dematic, Nvidia) Work in a startup culture backed by a talented global team Some of the problems you may try to solve with us: Lead customer projects end-to-end: plan, install, and support deployments while keeping customers happy. Be the technical face of Nomagic in the U.S.: translate customer needs into engineering actions and bring field feedback back to the global product team. Build the foundation: establish U.S. processes for engineering, customer service, and project delivery. Manage partners: work with vendors, contractors, and manufacturers to ensure quality and keep timelines/budgets on track. Document and scale: create clear documentation, playbooks, and repeatable processes to help us grow fast. Get hands-on: jump in with the team on solutions development, installations, troubleshooting, and problem-solving as needed. What skills we’d like you to have: 8+ years of experience in robotics, automation, or industrial tech. A builder’s mindset: excited to create processes, teams, and systems from scratch. Proven track record of running customer-facing delivery projects with multiple stakeholders. Background in engineering (mechanical, electrical, software, or controls) to roll up your sleeves and work alongside engineers. Excellent project management skills and familiarity with Agile/Lean methods. Strong communicator and relationship-builder across customers, partners, and global teams. Comfortable in a fast-moving, startup environment where priorities shift and speed matters. Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering or related field. What should you expect once you apply? 60-minute Hiring Manager Interview 30-minute Skill assessment 60-minute Leadership Interview Homework On-site interview: half a day of interviews & discussions with the team in our office in Warsaw, Poland We make the final decision after max. 4-5 days after the final interview. Important: expect feedback regardless of our decision. Originally posted on Himalayas
