Entry Level Transportation Engineer - Highways/ Roadways

They are seeking an Entry Level Transportation Engineer to join their Transportation team in Nashville, TN, working on innovative solutions for clients' challenges in the planning, design, and maintenance of large-scale infrastructure projects. Responsibilities Design and engineering services for highways, expressways, and major road networks Preparation of right-of-way plans, detailed roadway designs, drainage, floodplain management, and intersection improvements Utilizing CADD to prepare various engineering drawings, layouts, and/or models to communicate project details in accordance with established standards and procedure Collaboration with environmental scientists, utility locates, and surveyors to meet stringent requirements and address maintenance and improvement needs Assist in providing technical and operational support for exposure to Highway engineering principles, standards, and practices Project Delivery for key clients (including the design, environmental, and procurement processes) Various Related Highway Disciplines (Stormwater management, green infrastructure, utilities, structures, etc) Skills Bachelor's degree in civil engineering Course work related to transportation Previous design intern experience Engineer in Training (EIT) or ability to obtain within 6 months Knowledge of and experience using CADD/Design software (Microstation/Inroads or AutoCAD/Civil 3D) Ability to utilize design manuals, as needed Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future Benefits Medical Dental Vision Basic life insurance 401(k) plan Paid time off (allocated plans start date 17 days per calendar year) Seven paid holidays One floating holiday Caregiver leave The ability to purchase company stock at a discount Legally mandated benefits Company Overview Jacobs leads the global professional services sector delivering solutions for a more connected, sustainable world.
