Key Responsibilities As a Certified Pharmacy Clerk at blithequark, your daily tasks will be diverse and engaging, with a guaranteed 25-40 hours of work per week. Your responsibilities will include: Assisting pharmacists in updating patient profiles and entering prescription information into our pharmacy computer system, ensuring compliance with provincial regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality. Supporting pharmacists in filling prescriptions by preparing stock bottles, counting, pouring, restocking, labeling, and pricing prescriptions under direct supervision, following all safety and security procedures. Preparing third-party insurance claims, processing invoices, and making accounting entries using our computerized system. Ordering, receiving, tagging, and stocking prescription drugs and supplies, adhering to product storage procedures and standards. Managing over-the-counter products in accordance with our merchandising plan, including ordering, receiving, tagging, stocking, creating product signs, and conducting over-the-counter roaming. Providing remote data entry services for prescriptions for all blithequark pharmacies in Ontario, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our operations. Assisting in other areas of the warehouse as necessary, demonstrating flexibility and a team-oriented approach. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A completed pharmacy diploma from a Community College, providing a solid foundation in pharmacy practices and operations. Completion of a certification as required by the province, ensuring you are fully qualified to work in a pharmacy environment. Prior experience in a pharmacy setting is highly preferred, with candidates having current pharmacy experience given priority consideration. Preferred Knowledge and Skills While not mandatory, having preferred knowledge of Kroll software will be an asset in this position, enabling you to quickly adapt to our systems and processes.
