Job Summary As a Groundperson - ATE, you will play a vital role in our line clearance and vegetation management operations. This is an entry-level position that requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. You will work alongside experienced professionals to trim, top, and reshape trees, ensuring clearance for utility powerlines. Key Responsibilities As a Groundperson - ATE, your primary responsibilities will include: Operating chainsaws to cut brush, logs, and stumps of larger trees. Dragging, gathering, and feeding brush into a woodchipper. Servicing vehicles and equipment, maintaining them in neat, clean, and specified mechanical order. Working safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Collaborating with crew members to achieve project goals. Adhering to company safety policies and procedures. Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: Essential Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. No prior experience is required, but previous experience in a related field is a plus. Valid driver's license preferred, but not required. Physical Requirements: This role requires: Frequent standing, walking, and manual dexterity. Occasional stooping, kneeling, squatting, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Continuous sense of touch, gripping, seeing, carrying, and pulling. Ability to work in all weather conditions and withstand exposure to nature. Safety and Health Asplundh prioritizes the safety and well-being of our employees. This role requires: Sufficient eyesight to judge distance and coordination of equipment and tools. Ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods. Wearing personal protective equipment as necessary. Ability to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times a day.
