About the Role As a Media Services Engineer at blithequark, you'll be an integral part of the Associated Media group within the Sound Media Advances Gathering (AMT). This team is responsible for delivering the sound and media foundation across a range of innovative products, including Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, HomePod, and AirPods/Beats. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring a seamless Airplay experience across the Mac ecosystem and beyond. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain client-facing applications and frameworks using C/C++/Python. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end Airplay features that enhance the customer experience. Contribute to the development of the Airplay software stack for blithequark products and third-party devices. Participate in programming development, bug fixing, and troubleshooting for a wide range of blithequark products. Work closely with other teams to ensure the successful commercialization of Airplay features. Essential Qualifications To excel in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Strong coding, unit testing, and debugging skills. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. Experience with programming languages such as C, C++, and Python. Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, the following skills and experiences will give you a competitive edge: Experience with mobile devices, media players, smart TVs, or set-top boxes. Background in software development for consumer media applications and platforms. Knowledge of API design and maintenance. Familiarity with building services that involve modern networking protocols and concepts. Experience with application development for Linux-based products.
