Role Description This role involves providing constant surveillance identification of cardiac rhythms for patients on remote monitoring. • Identifies and documents cardiac rhythms • Provides patient/family education • Performs electrode site care • Assures proper functioning of all monitoring equipment • Promotes cost effectiveness in the department through appropriate utilization of equipment and supplies • Ongoing training and review of patient monitors • Performs other job functions as assigned or requested Qualifications • High School Diploma or Equivalent • 0-1 years EKG monitoring experience Requirements • HEART SAVER - American Heart Association certification • Ability to read, write & understand verbal or written instructions • Ability to maintain level of professionalism in interactions • Knowledge of basic medical terminology and routine hospital operation • Ability to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation Physical Demands • Frequent invasive and non-invasive patient contact • Exposure to patient body fluids and hazardous materials • Ability to react quickly to emergency situations • Physical activities may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion • Must have good balance and coordination • Medium work - exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 25 lbs. of force frequently • Close visual acuity including color, depth perception, and field of vision Company Description Our Associates are passionate about what they do, the service they provide, and the patients they serve.
