JOB SUMMARY The HQ Fellowship Program The Marriott International HQ Fellowship Program offers Law Fellowships at Marriott International’s Headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland. For summer 2026, the HQ Fellowship Program will be from June 1 – August 7, 2026. During Marriott International’s HQ Fellowship program, Fellows will put their education to work and gain an enriching and memorable learning experience. The hourly pay rate for this position is $34.00. Marriott’s Law Department services the Company's lodging and hospitality business and provides legal advice and counsel to Marriott’s internal clients. Fellowship Summary The Law Department Fellow will have exposure to attorneys and projects in each of the legal department's major practice areas. They will conduct legal research, assist with drafting documents/memoranda, attend practice area and project/matter related meetings, and support a variety of legal projects and work assignments. The fellow will report to an attorney but will interact with all levels of attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff. The Law Department Fellow will also be part of the Marriott HQ Fellowship Program. The program provides students the opportunity to connect with people through the power of travel. The program includes curated learning paths, career growth and development opportunities, informative programming with access to executives, and exposure to real business challenges faced by Marriott leaders. Participants are onboarded each summer at our headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland. Candidate Qualifications • We are looking for first year Law students who have outstanding academic performance, excellent communication skills (both written and oral), and exemplary interpersonal skills. • Candidates must be a first-year law student in good standing pursuing a Juris Doctor degree at an ABA-accredited law school. • Candidates must have a strong academic record as well as experience that demonstrates great promise for a successful career in the legal profession. • Students with either a background in or passion for the hospitality industry are preferred. • Candidates should be able to work a full time, in-person hybrid schedule for the summer based at Marriott’s HQ in Bethesda, MD. • Must be available to start on the cohort start date on June 1, 2026 • Must be available to attend orientation in-person at our HQ located in Bethesda, Maryland June 1-3, 2026.
