About the position Responsibilities • Participate in and support capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for systems and software in conjunction with end-users and department managers • Implement and maintain server and workstation systems that utilize industry best practices to meet corporate objectives • Deploy workstations, servers, printers, scanners, firewalls, and security systems • Manage all operating systems and end-user software • Manage communications and connection solutions, including workstation connectivity, local area networks, company Web site, intranet, and Internet applications • Ensure the integrity and security of enterprise data on host computers, multiple databases, and during data transfer in accordance with business needs and industry best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance • Manage end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with best practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance • Perform network and security audits • Perform and test routine system backups and restores • Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems on servers and workstations • Practice IT asset management, including maintenance of component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information • Analyze system, server, application, network, and input/output device performance • Recommend, schedule, and perform software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, reconfigurations, and/or purchases • Conduct research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of systems software procurement and development efforts • Participate in negotiations with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure products and services • Develop, document, and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for system administration and appropriate use • Prepare and submit vendor warranty claims, parts, and documentation associated with warranty repairs (with authorization from vendors) • Perform moves/adds/changes within Geneva's phone system. Set up calling features such as Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) groups, pick groups call processing, and voice mail. Provide phone support and training to new users and solve miscellaneous phone problems • Train users in startup, basic and advanced use of software programs including Microsoft Office. May provide group training on request • May perform other duties as assigned Requirements • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required • Minimum of 3 years working as a Windows System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role • Experience in one or more of the following: Microsoft 365, Azure or AWS Administration, SharePoint, Check Point Firewalls, Veeam Backup & Replication, VMware • Advanced IT troubleshooting skills and experience • In-depth knowledge and extensive hands-on experience in with Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016, 2019, and 2022 installation and configuration • Proficient in installing, configuring, and supporting Microsoft Windows 7, 8, 10, and 11, along with compatible applications • Understanding of Microsoft Windows AD, DNS, and DHCP • Security Information/Event Management solution experience • Certification/Licensure: Security + CE, CCNA, CCNA Security, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or other Microsoft certifications desired • Must be organized, attentive to detail, and possess a positive, friendly and professional demeanor • Must be flexible with changing priorities and able to communicate in a diplomatic and professional manner • Must be willing to undergo a background check Benefits • Salary Range: $82,000 - $98,000.
