Mechanical Systems Engineer

Bechtel Corporation is a global leader in project management and construction, and they are seeking a Mechanical Systems Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will participate in the design, development, and evaluation of mechanical components and processes, collaborating with other engineering disciplines to support mechanical matters. Responsibilities Participates in the design, development, modification and evaluation of mechanical components and processes used utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs) Compiles, adjusts, and correlates data that will develop professional work knowledge and abilities through the application of standard mechanical engineering techniques, procedures and criteria utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs) Provides input to and/or maintains technical logs and records Coordinates work and collaborates with other engineering disciplines Provides direct support to other engineering disciplines for mechanical related matters Coordinates development and presentation of material when requested Prepares or assists in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports, or proposals Skills Requires a bachelors degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or Chemical engineering with less than 1 year of experience or 4-5 years of relevant work experience Requires a bachelors degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or Chemical engineering with 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience Must possess the right to work and remain in the United States without Bechtel visa sponsorship now or in the future Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located at the construction site), and background check which includes verification of employment and education Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site.
