In addition to being committed to Maria Montessori’s belief that children learn best at their own pace and through their own desire to learn, we make use of various technologies to ensure that our students master the academic readiness skills that will prepare them for their next step in education. Job Description: We are seeking teachers with a passion for working with young children in our community. The candidates will offer flexible thinking, curiosity, and creativity as part of a larger teaching team that strategizes and explores the implementation of core Montessori principles. The ideal candidates will also work collaboratively with co-teachers, communicate confidently with parents, both verbally and in writing, and have strong organizational skills that allow for the structure and routine young children need. Teacher duties and responsibilities: • Prepare and maintain a Montessori environment in which the furnishings and materials are developmentally appropriate and welcoming to children • Ensure the safety and well-being of students in the classroom • Work cooperatively with the co-teachers • Deliver established Montessori scope and sequence • Responsible for parent communication, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly newsletters • Will deliver parent education, reports, and conferences Qualifications: • At least 1 year of professional teaching experience preferred • High School Diploma/GED required. College ECE coursework is highly preferred. • Montessori certified or willing to obtain certification • CPR and First Aid Certification preferred. • Must meet state specific guidelines for the role Additional Information: The pay for this position is $18-$19/hour.
