Job Description • Designing and delivering Montessori-based educational activities for Micah tailored to his developmental needs (Micah is a 4 year old with Down syndrome) • Establishing and maintaining an organized, functional, and engaging workspace for Micah, and making ongoing recommendations to improve it • Accompanying Micah to his speech and occasionally occupational therapy sessions and integrating learned strategies into their time together • Researching and recommending enrichment activities, therapies, or programs that may benefit Micah’s continued development Desired Candidate Qualities • Seeking a candidate who is warm, patient, and has a nurturing presence • Passionate about individualized learning • Commitment to holistic child development (emotional, social, academic, physical) • Emotionally intelligent and responsive to feedback • Deep respect for family values and home routines Requirements • AMI or AMS Montessori Certification (ideally for ages 3–6 / Children’s House level) • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Child Development, or a related field (preferred, but not always required) • Ongoing professional development or Montessori training workshops a plus • Deep understanding of Montessori philosophy and pedagogy, especially “following the child” • Skilled at creating custom materials and lesson plans that support language, math, sensory, practical life, and motor development • Ability to conduct and document ongoing assessments and progress tracking • Strong communication skills for working with parents and outside therapists • Highly organized, self-motivated, flexible, and discreet in a private home environment • Valid driver’s license (if transporting or accompanying the child) • CPR/First Aid certified • Background check and references • Willingness to travel for training or field trips (as discussed) • Flexibility in scheduling, with a consistent weekday presence How to Apply email: [email protected] with your CV Montessori Training Sponsorships Yes Apply tot his job Apply tot his job
