About the Role: Join Our Team & Take Your MDS Expertise on the Road! Are you an experienced MDS Coordinator with a passion for ensuring accurate assessments and quality resident care? Do you enjoy mentoring others, improving processes, and traveling to different facilities? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Traveling MDS Coordinator to support multiple facilities, ensuring RAI accuracy, compliance, and excellence in resident care. This role is essential in mentoring staff, enhancing quality outcomes, and strengthening facility performance. Major Responsibilities • Lead & Coordinate the RAI Process - Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and completion of MDS, CAAs, and interdisciplinary care plans in compliance with federal and state regulations. • Monitor Medicare & Managed Care Residents - Work closely with facility teams to document and manage resident care effectively. • Ensure Compliance & Quality Standards - Maintain adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and professional guidelines. • Support Multiple Facilities - Travel to different locations to assist and enhance the MDS process as needed. • Mentor & Train MDS Staff - Provide a supportive environment for new MDS professionals, fostering their growth and development. • Enhance Facility Processes - Implement innovative healthcare solutions that improve documentation accuracy, workflows, and patient outcomes. • Participate in Quality & Safety Programs - Ensure continuous improvement in facility practices. Minimum Qualifications • Valid RN in the state(s) of practice. • Minimum 3 years of nursing experience in a setting serving a similar resident population. • At least 2 years of experience as an MDS Coordinator. • Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays. • Strong leadership, mentoring, and organizational skills. • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance. • A passion for improving healthcare processes and resident outcomes.
