Remote Logistics Operations Manager
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Logistics Operations Manager to spearhead our supply chain and warehousing operations from the comfort of your home. This is a fully remote position, demanding exceptional organizational, analytical, and leadership capabilities. You will be instrumental in optimizing inventory management, streamlining distribution processes, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods across our network. The role requires a deep understanding of logistics software, freight forwarding, and warehouse best practices, coupled with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. You will lead a distributed team, fostering collaboration and driving performance through clear communication and strategic direction. Responsibilities: Oversee daily logistics operations, including inbound and outbound shipments, inventory control, and order fulfillment. Develop and implement strategies to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and improve delivery times. Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), carriers, and suppliers. Utilize advanced logistics and warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory, monitor performance, and generate reports. Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all logistics and warehousing activities. Lead, mentor, and develop a remote team of logistics professionals, setting performance goals and providing regular feedback. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Collaborate with internal departments, such as sales and procurement, to align logistics strategies with business objectives. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the logistics network. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Proven experience (7+ years) in logistics and supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity. Demonstrated success in optimizing warehouse operations and transportation management. Expertise in WMS, TMS, and ERP systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data. Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills, particularly in a remote setting. Proficiency in project management methodologies. Adaptability and a results-oriented mindset. Familiarity with international shipping and customs regulations is advantageous.
