[Remote] Technical PO & Scrum Master

Betwixt is building the future of human-AI collaboration, and they are seeking a technical and pragmatic Product Owner & Scrum Master to guide their agile development process. The role involves bridging the gap between product vision and execution, ensuring engineering teams deliver the right products efficiently. Responsibilities • Develop and maintain a clearly prioritized product backlog that aligns with the product roadmap. • Write clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria for technical and non-technical features. • Work directly with engineers, designers, and stakeholders to break down large, complex projects into actionable tasks. • Make real-time prioritization decisions to balance new feature development with technical debt and bug fixes. • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews) with a focus on outcomes, not just process. • Protect the team from distractions and scope creep, ensuring a sustainable pace of delivery. • Identify and remove impediments that are slowing the team down. • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, transparency, and collective accountability. • Help build and communicate a clear product roadmap, translating high-level goals into a sequenced delivery plan. • Act as a communication hub, ensuring all stakeholders have visibility into progress, challenges, and changes in priorities. Skills • Technical enough to understand architectural discussions, ask probing questions about implementation, and earn the respect of a skilled engineering team. • Expert in Agile methodologies and frameworks, with experience tailoring them to fit a team's unique needs. • Exceptional communicator and facilitator, skilled at building consensus and managing conflicting priorities. • Organized, proactive, and obsessed with creating clarity from ambiguity. Education Requirements • Proven track record as a Product Owner, Scrum Master, or Technical Project Manager in a software development environment. • Master of decomposition, able to take a vague, ambitious idea and structure it into a logical, deliverable plan.
