Position Details and Responsibilities This is a full-time position with an expected commitment of 30 to 40 hours per week. This role is fully remote, offering you flexibility while collaborating closely with our litigation and business law managers. Practice Areas for Research Assignments: The successful candidate will provide legal support for matters covering a wide range of complex legal challenges, including: • Lawsuits/Litigation • Business Law • Real Estate Litigation and Contract Drafting • Employer Rights/Employment Law • Construction Law • Creditor Rights Bankruptcy • Other business-related matters Core Responsibilities (Ability to Complete Independently): The role requires significant experience and familiarity with completing the following tasks, ready for immediate use by our trial attorneys: • Drafting Motions and Responses • Drafting Mediation and Trial Memos of Law • Drafting Pleadings and Complaints • Drafting Discovery • Drafting Case Summaries • Performing Legal Research using electronic and book resources (We provide access to Westlaw). Who We Are Looking For (The Ideal Candidate) The ideal applicant is a self-starter with a proven track record in complex business litigation research and writing. You must possess: • Current Florida Bar License (Required). • Significant legal research experience. • Phenomenal writing and editing skills (the ability to produce a polished work product ready for filing). • The discipline to work independently, hit the ground running, and set and meet specific due dates. • The ability to effectively take direction and constructive criticism. • Exceptional communication skills—you must communicate professionally, concisely, effectively, and efficiently with our attorneys. We are open to considering collaborative, entrepreneurial individuals with their own law practice who are seeking substantive work outside the traditional law firm environment.
