Risk Management Specialist

Lithia & Driveway is one of the largest global automotive retailers, focused on modernizing personal transportation solutions. The Risk Management Specialist will support the administration and oversight of various claims, collaborating closely with internal teams and a Third-Party Administrator to ensure effective claims management and risk mitigation. Responsibilities Oversee the reporting, auditing, and administration of Auto Liability (AL), General Liability (GL), and Workers’ Compensation (WC) claims handled internally and by the TPA Serve as a primary point of contact for insurance carriers, claim adjusters, and internal stakeholders, providing timely updates and responses Partner with the Senior Specialist and leadership to support risk assessments, hazard identification, and risk mitigation initiatives Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, external partners, and store leadership to ensure smooth claims resolution Manage Certificates of Insurance (COIs) and Bonds, ensuring accuracy and compliance Administer internal first-party liability claims not referred to the TPA, including investigations, statement collection, and denial letter drafting Participate in regular claim reviews with the TPA to support action plans for complex claims and process improvements Prepare and present claims data and insights to leadership using PowerPoint Skills Demonstrated experience in customer service–focused roles, with the ability to manage sensitive situations professionally and empathetically Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain complex information to diverse stakeholders Proven ability to manage multiple projects and claim-related timelines simultaneously while meeting deadlines Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners Willingness to learn risk management practices, insurance concepts, and compliance requirements High School graduate or equivalent, 18 years or older required Benefits Medical, Dental and Vision Plans Paid Holidays & PTO Short and Long-Term Disability Paid Life Insurance 401(k) Retirement Plan Employee Stock Purchase Plan Lithia Learning Center Vehicle Purchase Discounts Wellness Programs Company Overview Lithia & Driveway is an automotive dealership network headquartered in Medford, Oregon.
