**Safety Officer - TRAKHEES AND SARS APPROVED required** **Roles and Responsibilities** - Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with TRAKHEES and SARS regulations, - Identifying potential hazards and recommending corrective actions. - Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures tailored to the specific needs of the organization, ensuring alignment with local legislation and best practices. - Facilitate safety training sessions for employees, enhancing their knowledge and awareness of safety protocols and emergency response procedures. - Assist in the investigation of accidents and incidents, documenting findings and providing reports to management for continuous improvement. - Monitor and maintain safety equipment and personal protective gear, ensuring all tools meet safety standards and are readily available to staff. - Act as a liaison between management and regulatory bodies, ensuring all necessary permits and licenses are obtained and maintained. - Prepare and present safety performance reports to senior management, highlighting trends, compliance issues, and areas for improvement. - Engage in proactive risk assessments for new projects, ensuring that safety considerations are integrated into the planning and execution phases. - Promote a culture of safety within the organization by encouraging open communication and reporting of unsafe conditions without fear of retaliation. - Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in safety legislation, ensuring the organization remains compliant and competitive. - Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field, with a strong foundation in safety management principles. - Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent, demonstrating a commitment to professional development in safety standards. - At least 5 years of experience in a safety officer role within the construction or industrial sector, showcasing a proven track record of success. - Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus for effective communication with diverse teams. - Strong technical skills in risk assessment tools and safety management software, enhancing the ability to analyze and mitigate risks. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, allowing for effective training and collaboration with team members at all levels. - Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to influence and motivate a diverse workforce towards a culture of safety. - Physical ability to conduct field inspections and assessments, ensuring hands-on engagement with safety practices. Minimum 2 years of UAE Experience Needed to start immediately.
