What We're Looking For We are searching for a Senior DevOps Engineer - a thought leader who can devise creative engineering solutions to manage the workflow and operations of software development, implement engineering tools and possess an intimate knowledge of the software development process. This leader has a track record of collaboration with team members and customers (developers, engineers) in an Agile environment to consistently deliver business value. This person should have proven experience with the full spectrum of the software engineering value stream (e.g. build, integration, releasing / deployment and application reliability & performance testing. Key Responsibilities Team Support new platform: Work closely with Lead DevOps, VPE, software engineering and customer-facing teams developing infrastructure and applications, and will focus on driving scalability, stability, reliability, operability of services, and security for BuildingLink products and services. Set standards for deployments at scale, infrastructure reliability and scalability. Work closely with Lead DevOps and VPE as an advocate for growing DevOps competencies within the engineering group. Develops innovative ways to smartly measure, monitor & report application and infrastructure health Troubleshooting: Analyze and comprehend how our teams are using the platform and help drive continuous improvement of the offering. Possesses the ability to perform quick RCA of any complexity. Propose changes to the technical architecture and design solutions as applicable Requirements Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related technical field or equivalent practical experience 3+ years of experience with system design, algorithms, data structures, systems analysis Deep knowledge in DevOps tools and practices, Enterprise standards and security. Knowledge of scripting languages and main concepts of Object-Oriented programming Advanced level of scripting and automation skills Ability to gain an understanding of processes and issues, and communicate them back Ability to work in teams and individually when needed Team player who is eager to help others to succeed through mentoring and leading by example. Strong customer focus and confident in making critical decisions independently in a fast paced and demanding environment Experience working in a startup environment and a global distributed team Excellent written and verbal technical communication. Able to explain complex solutions in easy-to-understand terms Preferred Qualifications: 7+ years of DevOps Engineering experience 7+ years of experience with AWS (EKS, S3, Cloudfront, VPC, IAM, ALB/NLB, etc.) 5+ years of experience with Terraform (AWS resources) 5+ years of experience with coding and scripting (Shell/Bash, Python, etc.) 2+ years of experience using build and deployment tools (GitHub Actions) 2+ years of experience managing Kubernetes (Kustomize, ArgoCD, OpenLens) Benefits Competitive Monthly Salary paid in USD.
