We embrace all candidates that will contribute to the diversification and enrichment of ideas and perspectives at AHEAD . AHEAD is on the hunt for an innovative and enthusiastic Software Architect to strengthen our cutting‑edge team. As a distinguished managed service provider, our commitment to excellence shines through the technology we create. Our Hatch platform has already reinvented how enterprises supply, deliver, and manage IT assets and services. Now we are ready to expand the possibilities even further. In this pivotal role, your primary focus will be championing user experience by ensuring that every architectural decision stems from a deep understanding of our users’ needs. As an architect, you will immerse yourself in the intricacies of our products, the real-world challenges our teams face, and the perspectives of our users. Your commitment to thoroughly understanding these elements will empower you to shape and refine our full‑stack services, always letting user needs guide the evolution of our architecture. Working closely with developers and stakeholders, you’ll weave technologies like Elixir and Angular into seamless, intuitive solutions. Your architectural vision—rooted in empathy and real-world insight—will ensure that our technology enables the best experiences for our customers and teams alike. Join a collaborative architectural team that sets the technical direction of Hatch. Your vision will define scalability, performance, and maintainability across our software estate. What Success Looks Like A documented, cohesive architecture that supports rapid feature delivery and incremental releases without sacrificing quality. Engineering teams that apply strong design principles because you guided and mentored them. Responsibilities Collaborate with fellow architects to model domains, define service boundaries and map data flow. Provide architectural guidance for back-end services in Elixir, Phoenix and LiveView, and front‑end applications in Angular. Integrate user experience, security, compliance, observability, and performance requirements into every architectural decision. Architect scalable integrations for our workflow automation platform, emphasizing reusable, component-driven solutions. Produce reference implementations, proofs of concept and architecture decision records that provide proven patterns. Lead design reviews balancing idealism with pragmatic trade‑offs. Partner with product, infrastructure and security teams to align business goals with technical reality. Mentor engineers at every level, raising the collective bar through coaching and examples. What You Bring Drive to provide the best user experience possible. Deep mastery of Elixir and OTP proven in distributed production systems. Solid experience architecting Angular or similar SPA frameworks at scale. Expertise in SQL and relational database design. Fluency in scalable design patterns. Proficiency in at least two additional languages such as Go, Rust or TypeScript and the discernment to choose between them. Hands‑on experience with cloud‑native design, container orchestration and continuous delivery pipelines. Relentless focus on automated testing, observability, and operational excellence. Clear communication and empathy that persuade without formal authority. Make Your Voice Heard We prize strong opinions held lightly. Your perspective, shaped by victories and scars, will refine Hatch. Speak up, challenge assumptions and drive improvement. Why You Will Love It Here A culture that prizes technical excellence and gives architects real influence. Significant ongoing investment in modern tooling and infrastructure. Competitive salary and benefits, with genuine respect for life outside of work. A platform that matters: Hatch touches every corner of our operations and every customer experience. Show Us Your Craft Share links to repositories, design documents or pull requests that demonstrate the systems you led. We value real evidence of architectural impact. Why AHEAD : Through our daily work and internal groups like Moving Women AHEAD and RISE AHEAD , we value and benefit from diversity of people, ideas, experience, and everything in between. We fuel growth by stacking our office with top-notch technologies in a multi-million-dollar lab, by encouraging cross department training and development, sponsoring certifications and credentials for continued learning.
