A Specialist, Documents and Information, is responsible for accessing a Knowtion Health client’s hospital information system to retrieve medical documents and information required for the processing of hospital claims and generating maximum revenue available for Knowtion Health clients. The Opportunity: • Uses the Artiva (or FACS) workflow management system to identify tasks for each client and updates Artiva/FACS with information once task is completed • Based on task information requests generated from Knowtion Health team members, logs in to client hospital system in compliance with HIPAA, to retrieve medical record copies, claim form copies such as UB04s & HCFA’s, Admission and Discharge forms, or any other documents requested as well as gathers information requested in order to pursue maximum revenue recovery • Per task request, logs into client’s hospital information system and determines whether a rebill has been completed; updates Artiva/FACS task request with findings • Saves information from client hospital information system into appropriate patient folder in Box in accordance with HIPAA requirements; creates patient folder as needed • This position requires strict adherence to HIPAA rules and regulations • Conducts a monthly review of client systems for payment transactions and/or adjustments that have posted on the accounts assigned to Knowtion Health and reports back any discrepancies identified What you bring: • A high school diploma or GED is required • Adherence to HIPAA requirements • Attention to detail • Moderate computer proficiency including working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Outlook • Ability to learn hospital information systems to enable retrieval of documents and information requested • Organization and documentation skills to ensure accurate record keeping • Ability to multitask and prioritize efficiently and accurately The above statements are intended to provide the general nature and level of work being performed by most people assigned to the position.
