Technology Director (REMOTE)

Key Responsibilities & Job Description: • Work closely with functional and technical leaders to plan for and execute enabling technology solutions. • Partner with functional and technical leaders to identify and plan capabilities necessary to meet short and long-term business needs. • Develop and execute strategic plans in support of key objectives in a timely and fiscally responsible manner. • Inform and drive strategic alignment and partnerships with functional and technical peers and leaders. • Connect the dots across multiple levels and related functions to understand the business holistically. • Evaluate research and market analysis, meet with third party vendors, and maintain knowledge of industry innovations and technology platforms to inform strategy. • Establish and nurture strategic vendor relationships; influence vendors to align to domain, portfolio, and enterprise strategic objectives. • Drive growth for the business by applying technical and domain expertise to provide thought leadership and translate vision into action. • Define and communicate value propositions, success metrics, and outcomes. Document, review and ensure that all quality and change control standards are met. • Develop, plan, and implement sustainable, repeatable, and reliable processes; oversee process improvement. • Drive operational excellence to create internal customer satisfaction and meet operational metrics while prioritizing external customer needs. • Understand and articulate the value creation and business proposition to teams and functional partners. • Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to direct reports. Manage and coordinate strategic direction for staff. • Attract, retain, develop, and motivate top talent. • Conduct annual and mid-year reviews, reviewing individual development plans and providing performance feedback. • Telecommuting available. Minimum Qualifications: Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Requires 2 years of experience in the following:1. Application development; 2. Big Data; 3. Python; 4. Spark; 5. AirFlow (Job Orchestration framework); 6. Cloud AWS.
