Telemetry Registered Nurse - Rochester, New York

A Registered Nurse with expertise in telemetry and acute medical-surgical care is sought to provide skilled nursing support at a hospital in Rochester, NY. This 13-week contract offers the opportunity to work primarily night shifts on a fast-paced telemetry unit, supporting critically ill patients requiring close cardiac and medical monitoring. Location: Rochester, NY, is a vibrant city known for its blend of urban amenities and natural beauty. Nestled on the southern shore of Lake Ontario, Rochester offers a rich cultural scene, excellent dining options, and numerous parks and outdoor activities. Schedule/Hours: • Night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM (12-hour shifts) • 36 to 48 hours per week available • One weekend shift per week or two every other weekend • Must work at least one holiday during the contract Qualifications & Experience: • Active New York State RN license • NIH and AHA BLS certifications required • Minimum 1 year recent acute med-surg/telemetry experience, with 2 years preferred • U.S. work experience minimum of 2 years required for non-U.S. candidates Responsibilities: • Deliver high-quality nursing care on a 37-bed medical telemetry unit • Utilize EPIC for accurate electronic health record documentation • Flexibility to float to other units as needed and willingness to serve as charge nurse (training provided) • Adapt to scheduling needs and potential block bookings as requested This contract is a compelling opportunity for a nurse with demonstrated clinical competence in telemetry who thrives in a dynamic hospital environment.
