We are seeking an experienced VP of Engineering who will build, grow, and lead engineers across multiple product teams and platforms. In this role you’ll bring your operational leadership, technical expertise, and proven people development skills to bear on strategic decisions about our technical ecosystem, product roadmap, and engineering culture. You will bring deep expertise in implementing development processes to drive team execution and meet business goals. You will be a key member of the Technology leadership team. This role will be remote, and the ideal candidate can be based anywhere in the US. RESPONSIBILITIES • Use strong organizational leadership skills, self-motivation, and growth-oriented mindset to lead, motivate, and inspire multiple teams of engineers to deliver high-quality software and be held accountable for their performance • Work closely with Product, Design and GTM leadership on strategic planning, product development and execution • Recruit, retain, and develop great engineers who form cohesive teams capable of learning and growing • Experience managing architecture of enterprise applications in rapid growth environments • Manage and coach multidisciplinary teams of developers, testers, and technical leads through challenges and career growth • Ensure your team’s success by removing roadblocks, addressing conflicts, and operating as its champion • Collaborate with peers to creatively solve problems and drive department-wide objectives • Promote and instill essential software engineering practices in your team • Track, produce, analyze, and action upon key metrics & milestones to ensure quality products are delivered on time • Communicate and collaborate with clients, partners, and vendors on technical details • Establish and maintain a world class engineering culture dedicated to craft, quality and impact REQUIREMENTS • 8+ years managing engineering teams • 10+ years software engineering experience developing web and API applications, with a preference for enterprise SaaS • Experienced working remotely • Highly technical with expertise in infrastructure, architecture, mobile development and DevOps • Familiarity with Agile Methodologies and Cloud deployed software (Azure is preferred) • Experience with Angular, C# and .NET Microsoft technologies would be a plus • Experience leading and/or developing enterprise systems and applications at scale • Experience managing large teams with next line managers/directors • Experienced at organizing agile software teams to deliver high-quality software • You stay familiar with emerging technologies and best practices such as DevOps, Containerization, and Data Science • Operate with empathy and strive to cultivate a work environment that is both supportive and challenging • Passionate about helping engineers develop new skills and advance in their careers • Strong verbal and written communication, collaboration, and documentation skills • You are a lifelong learner and passionate about learning new things and taking on new challenges • Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to work autonomously with minimal direction We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
