Financial Analyst, FPA

The Financial Analyst, FP&A will prepare financial reports to assist practice group leaders and senior managing partners in making informed business decisions, while also supporting various financial processes and maintaining financial software. Responsibilities Prepare standard and ad hoc financial reports summarizing key performance indicators and profitability at the practice group, office, and attorney level Support the financial managers in design and preparation of the monthly financial reporting package; participate in monthly review calls with senior management and address follow-ups Configure specifications to accurately and efficiently extract data from the Firm’s financial reporting software Troubleshoot, investigate and resolve inquiries related to financial matters; collaborate with other analysts within team and cross-functionally to resolve issues Perform ongoing audits of financial system data to ensure data accuracy and compliance with financial reporting standard operating procedures Assist with the annual budgeting process and the analysis of lateral hires Support the maintenance of the Firm’s financial software and reporting tools Assist with quarterly and annual bank surveys Skills Bachelor's degree 1-3 years of finance, accounting or consulting experience Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word) Familiarity with financial reporting software Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills Strong mathematical and analytical skills Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities Ability to handle and maintain confidential information Ability to learn new concepts and skills quickly Ability to work collaboratively on a team Benefits Generous compensation packages that recognize hard work and excellence Opportunity to earn performance-based bonuses Comprehensive benefits package Company Overview McDermott Will & Emery is now McDermott Will & Schulte.
